Standing Room Only

It was a full house last night at South Dundas Council Chambers in Williamsburg, attendees were lined up into the hallway straining to hear the presentation by the South Branch Wind Opposition Group.

Negative health impacts, property depreciation, and financial viability were the topics of discussion.  Council was left with a number of plausible recommendations to help protect it’s residents, and stated that they would provide a response.

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain

Today marked the launch of ‘WindyLeaks’, a website who’s splash page includes the quote; “What your government does not tell you about industrial turbines”.  A fitting quote as the inaugural document on the site is an internal memo from the Ministry of Environment indicating that staff had recognized the negative issues industrial wind turbines were causing.

You can read the memo here, and be sure to check the WindyLeaks site often as there are bound to be more revelations.
